Fewer homes were sold in Macau last year than the year before, and they fetched higher prices, official data show.
The Statistics and Census Service says the number of homes sold fell by 36.7 per cent to 7,625.
The average price per square metre of housing increased by 22 per cent to MOP99,795 (US$12,490).
In the fourth quarter of last year the number of homes sold fell to 1,414, or 20.1 per cent fewer than three months earlier, and the average price per square metre they fetched fell by 5.2 per cent to MOP94,788.
